Applications are invited for Internship Opportunity (Tribal Development) at UNDP, New Delhi for the year 2021. The last date of application is 24 September 2021.

Eligibility

Education: 

Applicants to the UNDP internship programme must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme, or higher); Candidates with Mass Communication, Journalism, Mass Media, Public Relations background are preferred
  • Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent); Candidates with Mass Communication, Journalism, Mass Media, Public Relations background are preferred
  • Have recently graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation;
  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program.  

Skills: 

  • Ability to generate design collaterals and videos with quick turnaround time
  • Good command in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as handling web-based applications 
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premier, Final Cut and/or other tools used for graphic design or video-production
  • Basic understanding of current affairs and interest in development challenges
  • Experience in writing blogs, features, articles would be an asset
  • Good team player and ability to adapt to change in work environment

Responsibilities

Within the above scope, the intern will work under the overall guidance of the National Programme Officer – System Strengthening, UNDP to carry out the following tasks:

  • Identify, collate and compile the good case studies on tribal development in coordination with State Tribal Research Institutes and Centre for Excellence
  • Support in preparation of factsheets, flyers, audio-video, e-book and other good case studies documentation
  • Contribute to idea generation, designing and preparation of content for communication products on tribal development
  • Support in showcasing impacts and disseminating information across medial platforms
  • Support in creation of social media content/messaging and prepare power point presentations, including infographics, Gifs, videos, stories, etc. as required
  • Support in drafting scripts/story lines for videos and testimonials
  • Coordination support for preparation of videos from the work on-ground as well as other campaigns related to tribal development
  • Support in organization of theme-based virtual cross learning webinars in partnership with COEs and TRIs on health, education, livelihood, forest governance, water etc.
  • Any other task as advised by the team.
