Teach For India is on a journey to reach an India free of poverty and filled with love by ending educational inequity in our country. Twelve years into our journey we are a movement of 3800 Alumni working at all levels of the education system, who are reaching 1 in 10 children across the country.

These Alumni have graduated from our two-year Fellowship Program where they taught in under-resourced classrooms to put 32,000 low-income children on a different life path. Today, we have 970 Fellows and are the largest pipeline of driven, skilled talent into the educational ecosystem in India.

Position Summary

You will support projects critical to Teach For India’s communications projects both strategically and operationally. You will work across a diverse portfolio of projects – conducting and analysing stakeholder-wide surveys, conducting primary research and data analysis, holding feedback space and interviews, putting together reports and presentations, and engaging with stakeholders.

On any typical project, the role requires an ability to project manage, generate and analyze data, coordinate and brainstorm with internal and external teams, draw insights and make recommendations that be incorporated into our annual communication strategy.

This would be a very hands-on role that would require you to be immersed in the work we do. You’d be expected to join our Fellows and program team at their training institute, join the digital team for their meetings etc. 


  • Graduated from, or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree from any stream
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills 
  • Strong research capabilities
  • A deep understanding of the digital media landscape 


  • Analyse Gen Z and millennial motivations on digital media. Understand where they gather their information from and form opinions and motivations 
  • Conduct focus group discussions with the incoming 2022 Teach For India Fellowship cohort to understand motivations and aspirations. 
  • Use  the data to come up with insights that predict and recommend strategies for the National Communications and Recruitment team’s scope of work 
  • Research and gather data on what Teach For India’s social media audience looks like and define profiles for each to help the team design their strategy better 
  • Do social media audits of competitors/peers and tweak the annual strategy
