About 

It is our distinct pleasure to cordially invite you to the International Relations Model United Nations (IRMUN) 2020, organized by Masters of International Studies and History, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) which will be held from 10th February to 11th February 2020.

As our theme suggests, “Co-operation and Integration for Global Future”, we aim to instill the ability among the students to come to a consensus and formulate solutions for world peace and co-operation, for the advancement of the global future.

IRMUN 2020 aims at nurturing young minds for co-operation and integration for the creation of a peaceful Global Future. It is the need of the hour to solve issues around the world which requires expert minds to build cooperation among nations, to enhance peaceful coexistence and to integrate nations for a better tomorrow.

Committees

The IRMUN focuses on five such relevant and important committees of Model United Nations which include:

  • United Nations General Assembly – Disarmament & International Security Council (UNGA – DISEC)
    Agenda – Discussing the political situation in Yemen with special emphasis on the foreign influence in the region.
  • United Nations Security Council (UNSC)
    Agenda – The use of lethal autonomous weapons in the Middle East.
  • United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)
    Agenda – Repatriation of refugees with special emphasis in the Mena region.
  • Continuous Crisis Committee (CCC)
    Agenda – The world is at war. Can you prevent the extinction of humankind as we know it?
  • All India Political Party Meet (AIPPM)
    Agenda –  This house calls for a plenary session to review the Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2016

Registration

The registration fees are as follows:

  • Indian Student (Without Accommodation): Rs. 1000
  • Indian Student (With Accommodation): Rs. 1500
