GEDY India Grassroot Empowerment and Development by Youth), Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, GoI) is organising the International Conference on Governance and Public Policy on Feb 22-23.

Call for Papers

The conference welcomes research from all disciplines that incorporates the theme of the conference. The organisers are especially interested in special lectures, panel and papers that are unique in their emphasis on observation and insight into the theme or any particular subtheme.

Papers exploring the links between the governance and policy sciences, how politics shapes and is shaped by pubic policy are invited. Theoretical and empirical papers shedding light on the opportunities and constraints of different political mechanisms and institutional
arrangements, and social and economic contexts shaping public policy are welcome. Paper are invited from government officers, practitioners, researchers, academicians, and students in contemporary issues in public policy befitting any of the conference tracks as mentioned under.

About the organisers

Grassroot Empowerment and Development by Youth (GEDY):

Grassroot Empowerment and Development by Youth (GEDY) is a national level Non-Profit Organization, founded in October, 2017 by RGNIYD Alumni. GEDY works in the domain of Participatory Democracy, Adolescent & Youth Development, Sustainable Livelihood,
Governance & Public Policy, Climate Resilience and Advocacy.

Department of Local Governance (RGNIYD)

The Department of Local Governance was set up in 2008. It is running two years degree course M.A. (Local Governance and Development) and Ph.D. Few important papers like Constituency Management, Public Policy, Tribal Governance, Disaster Management, etc. are
taught to the students which help them to shape their career.

Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development:

The Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (rgniyd), Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, is an Institution of National Importance by the Act of Parliament No. 35/2012 under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. The RGNIYD functions as a vital resource centre with its multifaceted functions of offering academic programmes at Post Graduate level encompassing various dimensions of youth development, engaging in seminal research in the vital areas of youth development and coordinating Training Programmes for state agencies and the officials of youth organisation, besides the Extension and Outreach initiatives across the country.

Submission Details

Guidelines for Abstract and Paper Submission

a) The acceptable word range for the abstract is 300 – 500 words. The abstracts which do not meet this word limit will be sent back to the author(s) to be revised. The limit is excluding keywords and authors’ biography.
b) Your submission should be in Microsoft Word, Times New Roman font, 12pt, with 1.5 spacing and in English (UK).
c) We encourage you to send an informative abstract (complete abstract) which is a summary of a paper’s substance including its background, purpose, methodology, results, and conclusion.
d) Please send in a brief biography of the author together with the Abstract.
