Considering the present and future health challenges, AYUSH researchers need to keep pace with the advancing research. The interaction with various knowledge disciplines can provide rich academic ambiance to nurture ideas and thoughts. The conference addresses these needs by aiming at capacity building and creating a global network for research in the areas of AYUSH, natural products, integrative health, mind-body medicine, and public health.
Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly University of Pune), one of the premier universities in India and popularly known as the ‘Oxford of the East’, is positioned in the North-western part of Pune city. It was established in, 1949 and houses 46 academic departments, 307 recognized research institutes and 612 affiliated colleges offering research, graduate and under-graduate courses.
The Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (CCIH) established at the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) is actively involved in the promotion of integrative health approaches to strengthen public health through research, teaching, training, and advocacy. Recognizing these efforts, the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India has awarded a Center of Excellence (CoE) to SPPU, which is engaged in research and training activities.
