International conference on agricultural statistics 2019Papers are invited for the Eighth International Conference on Agricultural Statistics 2019 (ICAS-VIII) will be held during 18-21 November 2019 at New Delhi, India.


The Conference, which will be held under the auspices of the Committee on Agricultural Statistics of International Statistical Institute (ISI-CAS), is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare (MoA&FW), in close collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), EUROSTAT, other Departments of various Ministries of Government of India and many other international and national organizations.

About the Conference:

ICAS-VIII will focus on Statistics for Transformation of Agriculture to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Conference will build on the outcomes of the various leading research and best practices in the field of agricultural statistics, to help address the challenges faced by National Statistical Systems while producing data to report on the SDGs.
ICAS-VIII intends to bring together agricultural statisticians from all over the world, representatives of National Statistical Offices and other related Ministries and Departments.
The Conference will be open to the participation of producers, suppliers, and users of agricultural statistics, as well as to policymakers, researchers and analysts who are directly or indirectly involved in the domain of agriculture, horticulture, livestock, fisheries, forestry, and rural statistics and development.
