JOB POST: Project Assistant @ Institute of Nano Science & Technology, Mohali: Apply by May 22: Expired

Walk-in Interviews will be conducted on 29th May, 2017 for purely temporary engagement as Project Assistant in the research project funded by ‘DST-SERB’ under YSS scheme, Government of India at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.

Title of the Research Project: Assessment of Maternal, Reproductive and Fetal Toxicity Induced by Intrauterine Exposure of Carbonaceous Nanomaterials like Graphene and Carbon Nanotubes.

Name of the position available: Project Assistant

Number of positions available: One


Essential: M.Sc./M.Tech. degree in Zoology/Toxicology/Biological Science/ M.Pharm./ M.V.Sc
Desirable: Experience in toxicology research and animal handling will be preferred. NET/GATE/GPAT score is preferable.

Age limit: Must not be over 28 years as on 29 May 2017 which is relaxed for SC / ST/PH/OBC candidates as per government rules.

Salary: Rs. 16000/- (consolidated)

Project duration: Initially 1 year and likely to be extended at mutual agreement and performance of the candidate.

General Terms and Conditions:

  • The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of two years.
  • The position is co-terminus with the project.
  • Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of INST provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
