About the Organiser
Sambhaavnaa Institute is located in a small village Kandwari of Himachal Pradesh which provides alternative learning and living space for those concerned with social and political change. Founded under the aegis of the Kumud Bhushan Education Society in 2004.
Sambhaavnaa’s primary objective has been to nurture value-based leadership by encouraging individuals, especially the youth, to discuss and develop a critical perspective on the ideals and ideas that define a ‘just’ society.
About the Event
The India Youth Jam is an annual gathering of around 30 diverse young change-makers from across the country for a powerful week of deep listening, self-discovery, community building, and systemic inquiry. It’s a place to experience unconditional love and uncompromising truth, and a place to learn tools that can help make our personal and work lives richer and more sustainable. It is an opportunity to engage deeply with the world and our place in it.
Who can Attend?
We are generally looking for participants between the ages of 20-35, Indian nationals involved in a social change effort of their calling. However, we are not too rigid about age and nationality and happy to make exceptions. If you are open to learning from each other, excited about making new friends, and willing to push the limits of your comfort zone then probably this event is for you. Given the linguistic diversity of India, this Jam will be held mainly in English.
However, it is possible for a person who speaks predominantly Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu or Punjabi to participate since partial translation services will be available for these languages.
