Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi is inviting applications from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Project Associate (JRF) in a time-bound research project for a temporary period purely on contractual basis.

Salary
Consolidated Rs. 31,000/- INR p.m.
Essential Qualification
M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical or M.E./M.Tech in Materials or B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 55% Aggregate or equivalent CGPA. Candidate must be GATE qualified.
Desirable Qualification
Hands-on experience with instrumentation and characterization techniques like SEM, XRD, UV-vis, TEM, etc.
Knowledge of any CAE software/Material modeling software, Knowledge of MATLAB programming.
Age Limit
The upper age limit is 28 years.
Main Responsibilities
- Development of experimental facility.
- Assistance in purchasing laboratory equipment and their maintenance.
- Detailed regular documentation of the project.
Project Tenure
The nature of the post is purely temporary (on contract basis). The initial appointment will be for a period of 6 months and can be extended further subject to the performance of the candidate.
*JRF may get Ph.D. admission if fulfilling admission criteria of IIT Mandi
