  1. Short Term Course on Laser Materials Processing [Feb 19- Feb 24]

About the Course:

In line with the current Government of India initiatives on MAKE IN INDIA AND SKILL INDIA, manufacturing industry personnel and researchers working in this area will immensely benefit from the expertise shared by the speaker on Laser Processing of Materials.

Important Dates:

For college Teachers
• Receipt of application through email : Jan 15
• Information to the selected candidates: Jan 30
•Receipt of the draft: Feb. 19

For participants from industries and R&D labs
•Receipt of application through email : Jan 30
• Information to the selected candidates: Feb 4
•Receipt of the draft: Feb. 19

Registration fees:

  • For participants from QIP/AICTE approved colleges, there is no registration fee. T A caution deposit of Rs. 1000 in the form of a DD should accompany the completed
    form. This will be refunded to those participants who attend the course.
  • For participants from industry/R&D organization, the registration fee (non-refundable) is Rs. 10,000/-.
  • For Ph.D. scholars, the registration fee is Rs. 2,500/-, please note the PhD scholars have to bear their boarding and lodging and travel expenses.

2. Short Course on Optimization for Communications & Machine Learning [March 28-30]

About the Course:

The aim of this course is to provide an in depth exposure to practicing engineers, faculty members and graduate students to the latest research and applications of convex optimization techniques, specifically in the area of modern wireless communications, signal processing and networking research.

Beginning with a brief overview of the basic concepts of convex sets, functions and duality, this course will comprehensively cover several new applications of convex optimization in wireless communications such as power control for CDMA networks, Beamforming
for MIMO wireless systems, Compressive Sensing, Rate Maximization etc.

3. Short Course on Game Theory and Competitive Strategies for 4G/ 5G Wireless Networks [Feb 19-21]

About the Course:

This short course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive treatment of the game theoretic approach with specific emphasis on applications and research in modern 4G/ 5G wireless systems.

The course is intended to serve the dual purpose of being a technical introduction for participants at all levels, including B.Tech/ M.Tech / Ph.D. students, faculty
members and professional engineers, while simultaneously demonstrating the techniques and latest research aimed towards solving key issues in wireless research.
