Applications are invited for a Research Associate in the project entitled, “Project for Training, Research and Entrepreneurship Development in Smart Grid”.
Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (also known as IIT Kanpur or IITK) is a public technical and research university located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. It was declared to be an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India under the Institutes of Technology Act.
Established in 1960 as one of the first Indian Institutes of Technology, the institute was created with the assistance of a consortium of nine US research universities as part of the Kanpur Indo-American Programme (KIAP).

Qualifications
- M. Tech. or B.Tech. with at least 3 years of research and development experience.
- Smart Meter protocols (DLMS/ COSEM, IS1644 etc.) development.
- LoRa-WAN/6LoWPAN based IoT Development.
- Software development for IoT/ Embedded systems.
- Power System protocols development experience (MODBUS, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5 etc.)
- Smart grid/power system protocols and their implementation methods.
- Protocol convertor development experience.
Salary
Rs. 35,000/- per month
