About
The Harish-Chandra Research Institute, an Autonomous Institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India, wants to fill up various research positions on a contractual basis under the “QuEST (DST) Project of Prof. Arun Kumar Pati”.
Candidates are expected to work on Quantum Computing and Quantum Information. The initial contract will be for one year and will be renewed further provided DST grants extension beyond 30th March 2022. The position may be transferred, in case the coordinator i.e. Prof. A.K. Pati takes a transfer elsewhere.

1. Research Assistant (01)
Eligibility criteria
Candidate with a Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course e.g. B.Tech with a minimum of 60% marks. Candidates having UGC-NET/ JEST qualification may be considered at a higher salary i.e. at Rs.31,000 per month.
Upper Age limit
The candidate should be less than 30 years as of the last date of filling out the application form.
Salary
Consolidated emoluments Rs.25,000 per month. House Rent Allowance extra as per rules, if accommodation is not provided by the Institute.

2. Research Associate (01)
Eligibility criteria
Candidate with a Ph.D. Degree in Physics with minimum 60% marks.
Upper Age limit
The candidate should be less than 35 years as of the last date of filing the application form.
Salary
Consolidated emoluments Rs.47,000 per month. House Rent Allowance extra as per rules, if accommodation is not provided by the Institute.
