About the competition

Hindi is constitutionally the first official language of India as well as the most popularly and widely recognised language in our country. National Mission for Clean Ganga is being celebrated from 14 September 2018 to 28 September 2018.

To connect the Hindi-speaking people of Ganga Basin with the concern of keeping Ganga clean, the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation has organised this Poetry Writing competition.


Saving Ganga from Pollution

  • First Prize: Rs. 11,000
  • Second Prize: Rs. 10,000
  • Third Prize: Rs. 7,500
  • Fourth Prize: Rs. 6,000
  • Fifth Prize: Rs. 5,000
How to submit

Entries can be submitted either on NMCG or MyGov website.

Submission Guidelines
  • The entries must be in Hindi language.
  • Poem must be in form of stanza, having 10-30 lines.
  • The submitted entries must be in text format.
  • The submitted entries must be original.

The last date to submit entries is 28 September 2018.
