Free NPTEL Webinar on Electrical Engineering [June 3, 6 PM]: Registrations Open

About

The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is organizing a Free Webinar for students and faculties from various educational institutions across the country on Electrical Engineering on June 3, 2020, from 6 PM onwards.

The webinar will be hosted by Prof. S.Aniruddhan, who is an assistant professor in the Integrated Circuits and Systems group of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.

National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is an initiative funded by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India, and coordinated by IIT Madras and other IITs. The project’s central idea is to put recorded lectures taught by its member institutes online for open access. It is one of the most extensive educational YouTube channel covering engineering, basic sciences, and some humanities and social science subjects.

Highlights

The webinar will mainly focus on the topic: ‘What is Electrical Engineering?’. Participants will get to learn about the various aspects involved in Electrical Engineering and also gain various insights about the topic.

About the Host

The webinar will be hosted by Prof. S.Aniruddhan is an assistant professor in the Integrated Circuits and Systems group of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He works broadly in the area of Analog IC design, with a specific focus on RFIC design.

He obtained a B. Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras in 2000, and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Washington, Seattle in 2006. Between 2006 and 2011, he worked in the RF-Analog group at Qualcomm Inc., San Diego, designing integrated circuits for Cellular RF applications.
