Call for Proposals: Fighting COVID-19 Online IDEAthon by ICMR-CIBioD, Chandigarh: Applications Open


The current outbreak of a new virus has brought the world to a standstill with many lives being lost every day. To support the preparedness, readiness and immediate response to COVID-19, project proposals are invited to be incubated by the Centre for Innovation and Bio-Design (CIBiOD).

An ideathon is a short, intensive, brainstorming event to help young talents generate fresh solutions to existing challenges in their communities. Participants work in teams and use innovative ideation practices such as design thinking to brainstorm on possible solutions.

The project will be incubated for the 1-year duration or earlier. Projects will be incubated at ICMR-CIBioD, PGIMER Chandigarh.

The mission of The Centre for Innovation and Bio-Design (CIBiOD) is to co-create innovative solutions to the existing bottlenecks in Affordable Healthcare. CIBioD provides a platform for fusion of the best Indian medical & technical experts to work jointly on cutting edge technologies for the development of sustainable, disruptive, frugal & robust Healthcare equipment & devices.
