Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Field Assistant at Goa University.
Goa University is a public higher education institution, headquartered in the city of Panaji, in the Indian state of Goa. In addition to Panaji (Taleigão Plateau Campus), it has a campus in Margao, Mapusa, Ponda, Old Goa and Vasco da Gama.
School of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Science is engaged in important coastal ocean activities in the areas relevant to Navy. The school is looking for prospective candidates for filling up position of field assistant in R&D projects funded by Naval Research Board, New Delhi, under the guidance of Prof. Harilal B. Menon. The position is purely temporary for an ongoing project for the period 2019-2022.
Details of NRB Project
Title: Analysis of optical properties of coastal and estuarine waters and development of algorithm to retrieve chromophoric dissolved organic matter from an optical sensor.
BSc degree in Physics/Mathematics subject and have experience in generating oceanographic data from the field.
Knowledge of using various software for statistical analysis and to prepare graphs and maps.
