About the Organiser

The Govt. Engineering College Bartonhill was established by the Government of Kerala in the academic year 1999-2000. The College has four full-fledged engineering departments offering undergraduate, post-graduate and PhD programmes under the University of Kerala and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

About the Programme

The FDP on Control Engineering and Practice: Theory and Hands-on is organised by Dept. of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Govt. Engineering College Bartonhill, Thiruvananthapuram from Jan 6-11, 2020. Automatic control engineering has been a subject of interest to almost all branches of Engineering. It has important applications in feedback amplifiers, process control, robotics, automobiles, flight control systems, etc. However, much of control engineering discipline has been turned into the study of mathematics that makes it difficult to design control systems for real-life applications.

The course on “Control Engineering Practice: Theory and Hands-on” is an introductory course in the area of analysis and design of control systems. Faculty members who need to refresh the control concepts learnt earlier as well as those from other disciplines who need a background in control systems can benefit from this course.
