About

This workshop is exclusively focused on “Specification to System-on-Chip (SoC) Design”. SoC Design will be taught and discussed from two points of view: Integrated Wireless System-on-Chip Design with FMCW Radar example and Using SoC FPGAs. Lab sessions will see participants working in groups of 2-3 to develop software (to run on Arm microprocessor) and hardware (digital hardware in FPGA logic) for a given application.

As an example, participants could be asked to design an “Interactive Cipher Game” where both Arm microprocessor and FPGA logic are used to create an SoC based game implementation. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Goa is an Institute of National Importance (INI) established by an Act of the Indian Parliament. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in various branches of engineering and science.

Outlines

This workshop is intended to cover the following major topics:

  1. Arm University Program
  2. Curriculum Development for Processor Architecture and System-on-Chip Design related courses (“Birds of a Feather (BOF) Session”)
