Economix: Global Economics Challenges is an annual international event held by KANOPI FEB UI, a student organization run by undergraduate students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia. The event aims to be the means for participants of diverse backgrounds and disciplines to share, discuss, and find potential solutions for current global economic issues.
The 17th Economix: Global Economic Challenges Essay Competition grand theme for this year is Inequality in the Modern Era: An Unresolved Question. This theme requires the participant to explore arguably one of the most pertinent and impactful issues in recent
years. Being a very broad phenomenon, inequality uncovers questions related to the ethics, morality, philosophy, and politics in economics–important questions that have unfortunately been sidelined in favor of the cold and elegant precision of mathematics.
