About E-Summit 2022
The Entrepreneurship Cell at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras will host the seventh iteration of its annual ‘Entrepreneurship Summit’ to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, from 3rd to 6th March 2022. The E-Summit of IIT Madras is the only ISO 9001:2015 Certified student-run entrepreneurial festival in India.
This edition of the annual summit will be conducted in an online mode with carefully curated events and initiatives. The Summit will cater to over 800 startups in various sectors across India, from idea stage initiatives to market leaders, and with participants from over 715 colleges of the nation.
Presented by WestBridge Capital and powered by the 1990 Alumni Batch of IIT Madras, E- Summit will feature over 50 events presented under four conclaves – the Youth Conclave, Innovators’ Conclave, Start up Conclave, and Sustainability Conclave. E-Summit 2022 is further supported by their esteemed sponsors HSBC, the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, and GoToPitch.
The Start-up Conclave has 400+ participating startups across India, the Youth Conclave recorded around 1,500 registrations, and over 2,300 people have registered to take part in the Innovator’s Conclave. In addition, the Sustainability Conclave has received over 700 ecological and entrepreneurial solutions for sustainability challenges.
The theme of E-Summit 2022 is ‘Disruption in Veins’, marveling at modern entrepreneurship that has evolved the very principles of production and consumption. An extension of thisphilosophy is SUSPIRE, the social campaign that aims to leverage sustainable entrepreneurship and tackle environmental concerns under the UN Sustainability Development Goals.
This year, E-Summit is launching its inaugural MasterClasses – a series of hyper-focused sessions by industry experts on the fields of tomorrow. The Content Creation masterclass brings massive new-age content creators such as Pranjal Kamra and Deepak Kanakaraju to help aspirants ride the waves of a rapidly evolving content entrepreneurship, teaching attendees how to monetise their art.
The Product and Growth MasterClass helps humanise the exalted keywords and process of product development, with speakers including Arindam Mukherjee, co-founder of NextLeap and Suhas Motwani of The Product Folks bringing domain expertise and years of experience to the field. The Startup Fundamentals MasterClass compiles and curates a dedicated set of startup essentials from esteemed entrepreneurs, for future unicorns.
The profile includes unicorn founders such as Prashant Pitti from EaseMyTrip, and Amit Kumar Agarwal of NoBroker. E-Summit is further characterised by its lineup of flagship Inspirit lectures, where industry leaders from across sectors give talks highlighting their personal travails in grappling with the central theme of the summit.
This year’s line-up will include Piyush Goyal, Hon. Minister of Industry & Commerce and Ashish Singhal, Co-founder of CoinSwitch Kuber amongst others – including a secret speaker kept under the wraps.
