Decision is a double-blind peer reviewed flagship publication of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. The first issue of Decision was brought out in 1974. Since 2013, the journal has been published quarterly, with issues in March, June, September and December.
The journal focuses on theoretical issues of policy-design and management and attempts to bring out the rich context of practice, especially in India, through ‘thick descriptions’
attempts to contribute to the different aspects of management thought, research and practice within the larger economic, cultural, political and social contexts.
Call for papers
IIM-Calcutta announces a special issue of ‘Decision’ in 2018, with the theme ‘Managing the Indian Economy’. The special issue of Decision aims at providing a series of articles that are reflections on the current state of policy-making in some of the areas mentioned above.
The aim is not to publish articles with specific results, but those which provide an opportunity for authors to step back from specificities and present a bird’s eyeview of what is happening in India in recent times. The articles will capture a deep understanding of the various contours of the Indian economy.
A number of invited articles are being commissioned for the special issue. In addition, papers are welcome on a range of issues pertaining to the above concerns, including but not limited to the themes mentioned below.
