The CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI) is a research institute created and funded by the Government of India. It was established in Nagpur in 1958 with a focus on water supply, sewage disposal, communicable diseases, and to some extent on industrial pollution and occupational diseases found common in post-independent India.

Job Role
For Project Assistant
Field Survey & collection of air, water, wastewater, soil samples, etc; Characterization of air/ water/ soil samples; Compilation, data processing, and assisting in report preparation.
For Project Associate-I
Field Survey, Characterization of samples w.r.t Air, Water, Wastewater; Operation and maintenance of sophisticated equipment like GC/ MS-FID.
Qualifications
- For Project Assistant: B.Sc (Botany/ Zoology/ Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Env. Management/ Env. Science. Geology).
- For Project Associate-I: M.Sc/ B.E./ B.Tech (Env. Science and Engineering/ Env. Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry/ Meteorology. Atmospheric Science/ Marine Sciences/ Chemical Engineering/ Env. Sciences).
Salary
- For Project Assistant: Rs. 20,000/- plus HRA
- For Project Associate-I: Rs. 31,000/- plus HRA
