IIT Kharagpur organises Course on Contemporary Research & Research Methods in Economics & Finance on 22-26 June 2020. Research in Economics and Finance is passing through a defining time, wherein it is striving for a global marketplace.

In order to attain a competitive edge, this field of research needs to focus on linking classroom teaching with contemporary global developments. While understanding tools of research, it is equally intriguing to explore what we need to research upon given their significance to the economy, society, business and policy.

  • To introduce to the participants the tools and techniques of research in Economics and Finance
  • To deliberate upon relevant areas of research needing exploration in the contemporary context.
Who can attend?

The STC programme is designed for the teachers who are part of the TEQIP-III approved academic institutes in India. The participants from industry, outside teachers and students are also encouraged to apply for the course. Minimum qualification: Master’s degree and above.

    Perspectives on contemporary research in Economics and Finance
Important dates
  • Closing of online registration: 31st May, 2020
  • Announcement of shortlisted candidates: 10th June, 2020
  • Commencement of course: 22nd June, 2020
  • End of course: 26th June, 2020
  • Nil for TEQIP-III sponsored participants.
  • For outside faculty- INR 20,000/- (twenty thousand) + GST @18% per participant.
  • For outside students- INR 18,000/- (eighteen thousand) + GST @18% per participant.
  • For Industry- INR 25,000/- (twenty five thousand) + GST @18% per participant.
