The Department of Physics, NIT Uttarakhand is organizing an Online Short Term Course on Materials Synthesis & Characterization Techniques from September 7 to 11, 2020.
This short term course is designed to provide an overview of Materials Synthesis and Characterization Techniques. Eminent speakers from top-notch Academia and Research Institutes are invited for the same.
National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand is a public technical university in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It was founded in 2009, as one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology in India, and is recognized as an Institute of National Importance. It admitted its first batch of students in 2010-11.
This short term course will cover the following topics (but not limited to):
- X-ray diffraction and applications
- Ferroelectrics and applications
- Solar Photovoltaic: A journey from Silicon to Perovskites
- Topological insulators and its applications
- Tailoring magnetic properties of thin-film nanostructures by ion bombardment: an in-situ study
- Soft X-ray absorption and magnetic circular dichroism studies at Indus-2 synchrotron radiation sour
The M.Sc./ M.Tech./ Ph.D. students, faculty members, Research Scientists, and professionals working in the area of synthesis, characterization, application of materials, and nanotechnology are welcome to attend the course.
There is no registration fee for the participants from TEQIP-III funded Institution. The registration fee for participants from Non-TEQIP funded institutions is as follows:
- For Faculty, Researchers, and Engineers: Rs. 2000/-
- For Students: Rs. 500/-
