The Department of Physics, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar is organizing an Online Short Term Course on Current Trends in Condensed Matter Physics from September 25 to 29, 2020.
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar, formerly Regional Engineering College Jalandhar, is a public engineering institute located in Jalandhar, Punjab, India. It is declared as an Institute of Eminence under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India.
- The course is being organized to give a detailed introduction to research areas of current interest in the field of theoretical condensed matter physics.
- The course is devised in such a way that participants are first introduced to the basics of theoretical approached adopted by researchers for research problems in Condensed Matter Physics, their present status and future perspectives and connection to different experimental facilities will be discussed.
- This will provide the participants with the opportunity of learning the fundamentals and then applying those fundamentals of the research problems.
The Resource Persons for the course will be highly experienced faculty members from reputed Institutes like IITs, TIFR, IISC Bangalore, NITs, Panjab University Chandigarh, Central Universities, etc. Students and faculty members from government and private organizations are eligible to attend the course.
