SVKM’S NMIMS (Deemed to be University), located in Mumbai, is a University of Excellence and has been awarded the 55th rank by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The University offers programs in several disciplines and currently houses campuses for Management Studies in 5 developed and developing cities of India.
SVKM’S NMIMS, Bangalore Campus, in collaboration with The Indian Econometric Society, is hosting the International Conference on Economics and Finance, 2019 (ICEF-2019). The conference is scheduled for February 9th and 10th, 2019 at the NMIMS’, School for Business Management located in Kalkare, Bangalore.
The conference theme, “Economics and Finance in the Globalized World: The Dilemmas”, will attempt to evaluate how the policies promoting globalization have made economies interdependent and how the benefits and ills are transmitted across economies. The conference will also address the strategies followed by policymakers world-over to safeguard the interests of the respective residents by stabilizing the economies.
Call for Papers
Economics and Finance have always played a central role in the development and growth process of a nation. Critical empirical analysis of classical theories and the development of new theories assumes a central role in furtherance of the fields of study. Questioning obsolete theories, approaches and practices have become the need of the hour and some rigorous brainstorming sessions and exchange of ideas are essential to chart a path forward.
The primary objective of the conference is to provide a platform for young and experienced researchers from academia and industry in the areas of Economics and Finance to present their ideas and contributions towards the advancement of their respective fields of study and to foster associations with researchers and industry experts across the globe.
Contributors may submit their unpublished theoretical and empirical manuscripts under any of the tracks given below. The tracks are indicative and not exhaustive. Researchers are requested to submit an extended abstract (MS Word format) not exceeding 1000 words via email. Selected abstracts will be invited to submit the full paper in accordance with the guidelines which will be informed.
