Food Security Conference 2019The Department of Food Process Engineering of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela is organizing a two-day National Conference on Advances in Food Processing for Sustainable Food Security (AFP-2019). Submit abstracts by March 31.

About NIT Rourkela:

NIT Rourkela, an institute of national importance, is one of the premier national level institutions for technical education in the country and is funded by the Government of India. The main objective of the Institute is to produce quality Engineers and Scientists in Graduate and Post-Graduate levels in various branches of Engineering and Science.

About the Conference:

India is a country of rich cultural knowledge and heritage has diverse regions with different food habits. Indian food sector alone caters 1.3 billion consumers and generate a total export turnover of US $39.71 billion in FY 2016.
With the full extent understanding of supply chain from farm to fork and value addition of the same in India, can position the nation to take advantage of this growth.
This conference can become a platform in finding new and more sustainable ways of addressing food global issue to meet the need of the growing population and challenging lifestyle.

Who can participate?

Researchers, scientists, policy makers, academicians, and students are invited to submit an abstract on any of the conference themes or related areas.
The abstract of 250 words should be sent only by e-mail to afpnitr2019@gmail.com along with the title of the paper, the name of the author(s), and full address of correspondence including email and the name of presenting author should be underlined.
