The Hank Nunn Institute, a community mental health centre, is organizing a community event, Nobody Reads The Fine Print, which happens once a month on a Friday.
About Hank Nunn Institute
Hank Nunn Institute is a not-for-profit mental health organization that develops and delivers carefully designed and culturally congruent treatment, awareness, and training programs to meet the challenges experienced by individuals with personality disorders and difficulties.
Their mission is to develop a personality disorder service with robust, long-term, and low-cost treatment. They also implement recovery programs within the local community in order for people to regain a sense of meaningful existence and independent living. HNI’s methods move away from what they believe is a dated regressive way of thinking through labelling and prescriptive medicine.
About the Event
Over the last year, we’ve been grappling with a pandemic and while it has moved everyone, in some form or the other, there are clear differences in the intensity with which it has impacted different groups and individuals.
It has made certain differences quite stark and made the shared sense of fleeting compassion or apathy towards certain groups very clear. How is this feeling of insensitivity sustained in the face of apparent suffering?
We’re holding a space for this discussion. This is a free event that is open for anyone who would like to join.
