The field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology is one of the most active areas of modern-day research. A lot of students who want to take up academics as a profession are not very well versed with the state-of-the-art in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and the frontier problems that are being investigated currently in these domains.
The symposium on Frontier Problems in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (FPNN- 2020), a first-of-its-kind event to be organized at IIT Gandhinagar, aims to bring together distinguished scientists from different parts of the country and present the state of the art of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology research to Masters. and Ph.D. students through a series of lectures by the experts.
The lectures will be mostly pedagogical and interactive so that the students can participate in the discussions and develop a better appreciation of the problems, methods, and challenges in these areas. Speakers who work on diverse problems in Nanoscience will present the fundamentals, current research endeavors and the existing challenges in their research. The lectures are expected to make students aware of the state of the art of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and encourage them to contribute to its development by active learning and participation.
