About the Symposium
The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS), Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, in collaboration with Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL, Mysore, is delighted to announce its second linguistic symposium Bridging Research On Cognition And Speech (BROCAS) 2019.
The symposium is organized with the intent of offering a platform to research scholars and practitioners from qualitatively different research backgrounds, including theoretical, experimental and modelling, to present their ongoing research in the fields related to Phonology and/or Language cognition.

Call for Papers
Abstracts are invited for the original and hitherto unpublished research works in the following fields:
- Language and Cognition
Works that are not strictly on the fields mentioned above but overlap with any of them are also welcome.
The registration fee to be paid if your paper is accepted for presentation (oral/poster). The participants may check their respective group below.
- MA/MSc (or equivalent) Students: Rs. 600
- PhD Scholars: Rs. 1000
- Faculty/Post-Doc/Others: Rs. 2000
Registration includes: Conference Kit, Accommodation, Refreshments and Conference Dinner.
