CfP: INGSA Asia’s Workshop on Grassroots Science Advice on Nutrition & Health at MNNIT Allahabad [Dec 17-18]: Register by Nov 30: Expired

The International Network for Government Science Advice (INGSA) Asia, in collaboration with the Department of Biotechnology, MNNIT Allahabad, Prayagraj, U.P., India is organising the INGSA Asia Grassroots Science Advice on Nutrition and Health Workshop on 17th and 18th of December 2019 at the MNNIT Allahabad, Prayagraj, UP.

About the workshop

Policymakers need scientific advice to tackle various social problems and challenges. But, it is not always possible to address the modern challenges of society by only scientific advice or ideological experiences. For that, policymakers need to appraise other factors as well than scientific advice. In any form of a disastrous situation like natural disasters, disease or for food security, policymakers take the scientific advice for their decisions.

There is an intense need for scientists to have science advice and problem-solving skills to get the evidence-based policies for a positive impression to all the stakeholders. Scientific advice ensures that inventors perform the correct evaluations and studies for getting the marketing authorization without any objection. Due to its prospective nature, scientific advice focuses on developmental strategies to support a marketing authorization application.

This INGSA Workshop will be a great platform for participants to become aware of the importance of science advice as well as gain skills relevant to effective science advice. The workshop also aims to create a support network and stimulate the exchange of ideas, experience and knowledge in the interdisciplinary field of science advice.
