The Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras is happy to roll out the call for papers for IITMDRS 2021, tentatively scheduled to be held in March 2021. The inhouse symposium aims to bring together research scholars from across functions to present and discuss their research with senior academicians and get collaborative support from the research fraternity.
Our inherently multi-disciplinary background is conducive for furthering debates in the management discipline and initiating and changing the course of scholarly conversations. As part of the symposium, the scholars of DoMS will present their research, along with other guest speaker sessions, workshops and other activities planned.
Call for Papers
Papers with novel concepts, innovative methodologies or applying archival methodology to a new disciplinary context are invited as research paper submissions. Research papers are expected to follow the rigor of journal articles complete with context building, motivation, research objectives/questions, rationale of methodology, analysis, presentation of findings, discussion of results, contribution to theory and practice.
Review papers should succinctly put forth existing work in a particular area. This would entail positioning of the review paper with respect to other review papers in the same research area. Authors are also expected to provide justification of research questions/gaps that compelled review in the chosen domain along with rationale for methodology. Conceptual papers are expected to present an original concept while synthesizing knowledge in the research area and serving as the catalyst for future studies. The article should focus on knowledge to fill existing gaps in literature.
Work-in-Progress Papers/ Poster presentation
Articles with ongoing work that is not yet complete, but has sufficient rigour/ novel contribution to extant body of literature can be submitted as work-in-progress papers.
