The theme of the Convergence 2020 is “Role of Engineers in Innovation and Technological Advancement”. The objective of “The Smart City Convergence 2020” is to provide a platform to all the researchers, engineers, academicians, industry delegates and students to discuss the contribution of engineers in the smart city mission.

Energy, Infrastructure and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are seen as parallel and interdependent factors for smartness for a city. A ‘smart city’ is an urban region that is highly advanced in terms of overall infrastructure, sustainable real estate, communication and market viability.

It is a city where information technology is the principal infrastructure and the basis for providing essential services to residents. In this context, we are organizing a conference to make use of the smart computing and technologies to build state-of-the-art smart cities across India and lead the world towards it.
