CfP: Conference on Advances in Management Research Role in Emerging Economies at IIT Bombay [Feb 21-22]: Submit by Dec 31: Expired

The Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM) at IIT Bombay is organizing the 4th PhD Consortium on February 21 & 22, 2020 at IIT Bombay. The theme for this year’s consortium is ‘Advances in Management Research: Role in Emerging Economies’.

The objective of the Consortium is to provide doctoral students in management and social sciences an opportunity to present their research and interact with scholars from other institutes, eminent academics, and practitioners whose work involves cutting edge research and management thinking.


In a world of disruptive digital innovations and changing regulatory landscape, management research is now faced with new challenges. Corporations in growing emerging economies have to transform by nurturing capabilities and driving innovation to keep pace with the changing environment.

Management as a practice and research in the services and the manufacturing sectors therefore needs to transform to meet the modern needs of the dynamic global business environment. This forum envisages deliberating on the challenges faced by the practitioners, researchers and policymakers by bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders to develop innovative solutions for 21st centuries corporations.

Who can attend?

The doctoral consortium is open to any registered PhD/FPM student in an Indian or foreign university/institute. Since we expect a large number of submissions, only papers, which are directly in line with the main themes of the Consortium will be referred by the committee for review. The decision on the submissions will be made on the basis of reviewers’ feedback.
