Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment & Development) was established in 1988-89, during the birth centenary year of Bharat Ratna Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant, as an autonomous Institute of the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Govt. of India.
About the Course
The Certificate Course on Rural Technologies and Livelihood is organised by G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment & Sustainable Development, Almora from Feb 3-25, 2020.
The proposed certificate course on “Rural technologies and Livelihood” is aimed to provide theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of rural agricultural techniques, bio-composting, fishery and poultry farming, mushroom cultivation, beekeeping, handicraft using locally available materials for enhancement of agricultural production as well as promote non-farm livelihood activities for improving the economy of rural population. This also implies the creation of green jobs that contribute to environmental conservation and simultaneously improving the quality of life.
- Min. 8th standard pass (however, right now the candidate should not be pursuing any regular course). School/college drop-outs may also apply.
- Preference will be given to the candidates having experience and knowledge in Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Life sciences, Social Science.
Maximum 40 years (Relaxation to reserved categories as per GoI rules)
How to Apply?
- Interested candidates must submit the prescribed application form. Duly completed application form along with candidate’s resume must reach to the Head of NERC by email/post/hand (emailed: mahen29.mail[at]gmail.com) on or before by 24th January 2020.
- In case of application submission by email, a hard copy of the same will be required before the start of the course.
