Central Sericultural Research & Training Institute, Kolkata is inviting applications from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a time bound research project for a temporary period purely on contractual basis.
Junior Research Fellow
Molecular characterisation and assessment of the efficacy of low molecular weight peptides isolated from mulberry leaf against flacherie disease of silkworm (in collaboration with University of North Bengal, Siliguri, West Bengal).
Duration of the project
3 years till 14th May 2021 (JRF for initial two years and later upgradable to SRF based on the performance of the candidate).
The selected person has to work at both the collaborative institutes CSR&TI, Berhampore and University of North Bengal, Siliguri.
M.Sc. Botany/Zoology/Life Sciences/Sericulture/Biotechnology/Biochemistry or equivalent with minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).
Working knowledge in Protein purification, biochemical analysis and culturing of microorganisms.
Rs.15000/- per month + HRA as per Central Silk Board (CSB) rules.
