About FIRE@X

The Forum for Industrial Relations at XLRI – FIRE@X is the committee for the promotion of industrial relations at XLRI. It was founded as a discussion forum in 1996 and overtime, took shape into the formal society it is today.

FIRE@X is the hub of all IR related activities in XLRI. It aims to inculcate a dialogue amongst the student community about key aspects of Employee Relations/ Industrial Relations. It helps the students foray into the dynamic world of industrial disputes, resolutions, bargaining and agreements. FIRE@X organizes acclaimed events throughout the academic year, such as industry interfacing, live projects/case studies, inter-college events, e-newsletter.

About the Opportunity

The Forum for Industrial Relations at XLRI is proud to present to you Dhyuti, the Annual IR Journal of XLRI. This is an invitation for articles from IR enthusiasts. Sketches, comic strips, and infographics added to the submission are voluntary but always appreciated.

The articles are expected to have a recommended word count of 1000-1500 words. Co-authorship is permitted with a maximum of 2 authors.


The topics that are recommended by us are:

  • Innovations in social security laws around the world
  • Judicial activism in social security
  • A critique of the new social security provisions for the gig workers. A meaningful change or just a token measure?

Apart from these topics, you have the choice to send submissions on any other topics, trends or developments related to the sphere of Industrial Relations.

The best entries would earn recognition in the form of an entry in the journal and the author(s) would get a CV point and cash prizes for the same! Dhyuti is one of the most highly renowned journals among the top B-schools in the country and we hope to continue this legacy with the help of interesting and intuitive articles from you.
