The Rhodes Scholarships India Programme 2022 at University of Oxford, UK

The Rhodes Scholarship programme is the oldest (established 1903) international scholarship programme in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Administered by the Rhodes Trust in Oxford, the programme offers 100 fully-funded scholarships each year for postgraduate study at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom – one of the world’s leading universities.

Rhodes Scholarships are for young leaders of outstanding intellect and character who are motivated to engage with global challenges, committed to the service of others and show promise of becoming value-driven, principled leaders for the world’s future.

DAAD Scholarships Development Related Postgraduate Courses in Germany 2021-22

With its development-oriented postgraduate study programs, the DAAD promotes the training of specialists from developed and newly industrialized countries. Well-trained local experts, who are networked with international partners, play an important part in the sustainable development of their countries.

They are the best guarantee for a better future with less poverty, more education, and health for all. The scholarships offer foreign graduates from development and newly industrialized countries, from all disciplines and with at least two years of professional experience, the chance to take a postgraduate or Master’s degree at a state or state-recognized German university, and in exceptional cases to take a doctoral degree, and to obtain a university qualification (Master’s/PhD) in Germany.

  • Eligibility: Candidates must fulfill the necessary academic requirements and can be expected to successfully complete a study program in Germany (above-average result for the first academic exam – top performance third, language skills). Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree (usually a four-year course) in an appropriate subject. Candidates must have at least two years of professional experience.

Pfizer – One Young World Scholarship [Online Access to OYW Summit 2021, Munich; 50 Scholars]

The Pfizer – One Young World Scholarship has been established to recognise the outstanding actions of young people to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on society.

50 scholars will receive digital access to the One Young World Summit 2021 from 22 – 25 July. In addition, scholars will join the One Young World Ambassador community, a network of 12,000+ changemakers in more than 190 countries.

This scholarship is intended for young leaders who have demonstrated impact in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and advancing health education and access.

  • Eligibility: This scholarship is intended for young leaders aged 18 – 30 who have demonstrated impact in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and/or advancing health education and access.

FinancialCAD Women in Finance Scholarship 2022-23

Applications are now invited for the FinancialCAD Women in Finance Scholarship 2022-23. The Women in Finance Scholarship is aimed at encouraging and supporting talented women in the field of finance, particularly those pursuing careers in financial asset management, market risk management, and derivatives finance within the capital markets.

FINCAD’s team consists of the industry’s best and brightest quantitative financial analysts, software developers, and support teams. They offer expertise in derivatives finance, giving our customers all the tools and support they need to succeed. The FINCAD team does not rest until our customers are completely satisfied.

MBA Spring Scholarship by State University of New York, New Paltz

The State University of New York, New Paltz is inviting applications for its MBA Spring Scholarship 2021. To recognize academic excellence and to prepare future administrators and public accountants, SUNY New Paltz offers a limited number of scholarships to highly qualified applicants pursuing their first semester of the MBA program.

Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship Program 2021 by Govt. of Canada

The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships program provides funding to the very best postdoctoral applicants, both nationally and internationally, who will positively contribute to the country’s economic, social, and research-based growth.

  • Eligibility: Applicants who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada may only hold their Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship at a Canadian institution. Applicants who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada and who obtained their PhD, PhD-equivalent or health professional degree from a foreign university may only hold their Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship at a Canadian institution.
  • No of Fellowships: 70 fellowships are awarded annually. Approximately 140 awards are active at any time.

Landhaus Fellowship Program 2022 by Rachel Carson Center (RCC), Germany

The new fellowship program that will be based in Herrmannsdorf. The Landhaus Fellowship Program is a residential program. Ten fellows will live and work together in the newly renovated historic house on the Herrmannsdorfer organic farm outside Munich.

These fellowships are open to excellent doctoral, post-doctoral, and senior scholars who are working in the field of environment and society.

  • Eligibility: Fellows must have a demonstrated academic record in the field of environment and society; fellows must either be enrolled in a doctoral program or finished with their doctoral degree by 15 June 2021; fellows must commit to a stay of between three and twelve months; fellowships must always start on the first day of the month and always conclude on the last day of the month; fellows must be willing and able to live in residential accommodation with a diverse group of other scholars. Please note that there are no facilities for partners and children at the RCC Landhaus and rooms are single occupancy only.
  • Fellowship Amount: As a rule, candidates can expect the following funding: 500 Euros for doctoral fellows, 750 Euros for post-doctoral fellows and 1000 Euros for senior fellows (15+ years post-doctoral).

The Susan Jaffe Tane Fellowship 2021-22 by Walt Whitman Initiative

The Walt Whitman Initiative (WWI) invites applications for a fellowship program to encourage new research on Walt Whitman and his cultural legacy and to mentor a promising, public-minded scholar pursuing a career in the humanities.

The fellowship will be available to graduate students and/or graduating seniors (college level and above) enrolled in a graduate program in the 2021-2022 academic year. Applications are sought particularly from those at the beginning of their careers in cultural studies. This fellowship is made possible with the generous support of Susan Jaffe Tane, fellow WWI member.

  • Eligibility: Enrolled in a graduate program in the academic year 2021-2022. Demonstrated interest in American literature and culture, cultural activism and public scholarship. Enthusiasm for outreach work and teaching. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Experience using electronic resources and basic web technologies.
  • Fellowship Amount: The fellowship offers an honorarium of $1,500 to support research and related expenses. Funding to support travel to research institutions will be available.
  • Duration: The WWI Fellow will work with a WWI member for a total of 9 months in the Fellow position and be responsible for reporting on their time spent and their accomplishments in bimonthly reports.

Reham al-Farra Memorial Journalism Fellowship 2021 by United Nations

The Reham Al-Farra Memorial Journalism Fellowship was mandated in December 1980 by UN General Assembly Resolution 35/201. Formerly known as the DPI Training Programme for Broadcasters and Journalists from Developing Countries, the programme was renamed in 2003 in honor of Reham Al-Farra, a 29-year-old Jordanian public information officer who was killed in the 19 August 2003 bombing of the UN headquarters in Baghdad.

  • Eligibility: Open to full-time working journalists between 22 and 35 years of age who are nationals and residents of the eligible countries with developing economies or economies in transition. Fellows must be both citizens of one of the eligible countries and working full-time for a news outlet based there.
  • Deadline: Applications close by the end of 15 June 2021.

Royal Society Newton International Fellowships 2021-22

The Newton International Fellowship Scheme was established in 2008 to select the very best early career postdoctoral researchers from all over the world and enable them to work at UK research institutions for two years. Newton International Fellowships are made available by the Royal Society and British Academy.

  • Eligibility: Applicants must have a PhD or be in the final stage of their PhD provided that it will be completed (including viva) before the start date of the fellowship. Confirmation of award of the PhD will be required before any fellowship award is confirmed.

Online MOFA Taiwan Fellowship Program 2022

MOFA Taiwan Fellowship is established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), R.O.C. to award foreign experts and scholars interested in researches related to Taiwan (such as New Southbound Policy), cross-strait relations, mainland China, the Asia Pacific, Sinology and global issues (including but not limited to the post-Covid-19 era and political/economic dynamics, cybersecurity, national defense strategy, and gender equality) to conduct advanced research at universities or academic institutions in Taiwan.

  • Eligibility: A scholar’s field of study should be in the social sciences and humanities, with a topic related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, mainland China, the Asia Pacific, and Sinology. Foreign nationals who are professors, associate professors, assistant professors, post-doctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, or doctoral program students at related departments of overseas universities, or are research fellows at an equivalent level in academic institutions abroad.
  • Duration: The term of the fellowship is 3 to 12 months.

Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program 2022

The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce the recruitment of candidates for the academic year 2022-2023 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program. The fellowship program brings proficient mid-level professionals with demonstrated leadership potentials to the United States for a year of academic and professional work. Fellowships awarded under the Humphrey Fellowship Program are subject to the availability of funding.

A minimum of five years of professional experience (before August 2022) in the relevant field. French Institutes for Advanced Study (FIAS) Fellowship Programme 2022-23

The French Institutes for Advanced Study Fellowship Programme (FIAS) offers 10-month fellowships in the five Institutes of Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier and Nantes. It welcomes applications from high-level international scholars and scientists primarily in the fields of the social sciences and the humanities (SSH). For the 2022-2023 academic year, FIAS offers 17 fellowship positions in Paris.

  • Eligibility: FIAS awards fellowships to outstanding researchers of all career levels, from postdoctoral researchers to senior scientists. The minimum requirement is a PhD + 2 years of research experience at the time of the application. Exception will be made for scholars with a Master + 6 years of full-time research experience after the degree (PhD training will not be considered in the calculation of experience).
  • Amount: All IAS have agreed on common standards, including the provision of a living allowance (min. net 2,700€ per month), social security coverage, accommodation, a research budget, plus coverage of travel expenses.
