The Maurice R. Greenberg World Fellows Program is a four-month, full-time residential program based out of Yale’s Jackson Institute for Global Affairs. The Program runs annually from mid-August to mid-December.

  • Eligibility:
    • Applicants should be between five and twenty-five years into their professional careers, with demonstrated and significant accomplishments at a regional, national, or international level.
    • Applicants must be citizens of a country other than the United States. While applicants who hold dual citizenship with the United States are eligible, strong preference is given to candidates whose work is focused outside the United States.

2. Deloitte One Young World Education Scholarship 2022

As a longstanding partner of One Young World, they are proud to support the Deloitte One Young World Scholarship 2022 which will enable 5 outstanding young leaders to attend the One Young World Summit in Tokyo, Japan on 16 – 19 May 2022.

4. Z Zurich Foundation Scholarship 2022

The Z Zurich Foundation Scholarship 2022 will enable 16 young leaders working across the Foundation’s pillars to participate in the One Young World Summit 2022 which takes place in Tokyo, Japan from 16 – 19 May.

  • Eligibility:
    • Aged 18 to 30 at the time of the One Young World Summit 2022.
    • Passion for local and global issues.
    • Demonstrated commitment to creating positive change.
    • Willingness to engage and collaborate with fellow scholarship recipients and employees of Zurich who are also attending the Summit.
  • Benefits:
    • Access to the One Young World Summit 2022 in Tokyo.
    • Access to additional scholarship programming organised by Z Zurich Foundation. 5. ETH Student Summer Research Fellowship Programme (ETH SSRF) 2022

The Student Summer Research Fellowship (ETH SSRF) programme offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to gain their first research experience in an area of their choice.

  • Eligibility:
    • You are enrolled in a study programme (bachelor, master or equivalent) in computer science or a closely related field (e.g., electrical engineering, mathematics, physics)
    • Your expected graduation date in your current study programme (bachelor or master) is in the year following the fellowship or later.
  • Benefits:
    • Gain two months of research experience in computer science at a top international university
    • Pursue a research project that aligns with a chosen area of interest and be part of a research group
    • Take part in exciting networking and social events
    • Travel, visa and living expenses are covered by the fellowship
    • Stipend: Fellows at ETH Zurich will receive a monthly allowance of about CHF 1.750 to cover housing and living expenses. Travel and visa expenses will be covered as well. Students can claim the travel costs against receipts at the beginning of the program.

6. International Joint MSc Programme (Geography of Environmental Risks and Human Security) 2021-22 by UNU, Bonn

The international MSc Programme is taught equally by members of staff from the Department of Geography at the University of Bonn and researchers from the Institute for Environment and Human Security at the United Nations University.

  • Eligibility:
    • Applicants must possess a first higher education qualification (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in Geography or a related/relevant academic field. 
    • Being a candidate from an eligible developing country (check the list on DAAD website);
    • Having accumulated at least two years of relevant work experience since graduation from the Bachelor’s by the time of application (e.g. with an NGO, GO, or the private sector);
    • Having graduated from last academic degree no longer than 6 years ago by the time of application

7. TWAS-UNESCO Associateship Scheme 2021

In collaboration with UNESCO and a number of centres of excellence in the South, TWAS has instituted a Joint Associateship Scheme to enable competent researchers from the South to visit these centres regularly.

  • Eligibility:
    • Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent degree. The selection of associates is highly competitive; appointments are made on the basis of merit.
    • Special consideration is given to scientists from isolated institutions in developing countries. Women scientists are especially encouraged to apply.
  • Benefits: TWAS provides travel support for the associates and a contribution towards subsistence costs up to USD300 per month while living expenses are covered by the host centres.

8. Reckitt – Fight for Access Scholarship 2022

Recognizing that young leaders are essential partners in its mission, Reckitt is pleased to support the Fight for Access Scholarship to enable outstanding young leaders to participate in the One Young World Summit 2022.

9. Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2022

Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) Commonwealth Shared Scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.

  • Eligibility:
    • Be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person
    • Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country
  • Benefits: Stipend (living allowance) at the rate of £1,133 per month, or £1,390 per month for those at universities in the London metropolitan area (rates quoted at 2021-2022 levels) – paid and funded by the university.

10. The Obama Foundation Scholars Program 2022-23

The Obama Foundation Scholars Program will give rising leaders from the United States and around the world who are already making a difference in their communities the opportunity to take their work to the next level through an immersive curriculum that brings together academic, skills-based, and hands-on learning.

  • Eligibility: Rising leaders from around the world who: Are emerging leaders who have made meaningful contributions to their field and are now at a “breakthrough moment” in their careers.
  • Benefits:
    • Monthly stipend to assist with living expenses in New York City
    • A furnished studio apartment within walking distance of Columbia University, if the program is able to convene in person
    • All tuition and fees for up to four courses at Columbia University

11. EnerTracks Fellowship Program 2022

EnerTracks Fellowship Program is inviting eight fellows is invited to come to the Agora Energiewende office in Berlin, Germany. Each fellow continues working part-time for their home institution while participating in training sessions that are prepared and facilitated by Agora Energiewende energy experts.

  • Eligibility:
    • Applicants must be a national of an Official Development Aid (ODA recipient) country.
    • Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university, in economics, environmental science, engineering, political science, or similar (masters’ degree preferred)
  • Benefits: All EnerTracks fellows receive:
    • A travel grant covering half of the costs of participants’ international travel expenses (excluding visa costs)

12. King Center’s Predoctoral Research Fellows Program 2022

The King Center’s Predoctoral Research Fellows Program is a full-time, two-year post-baccalaureate program designed to prepare individuals for careers in academic research focused on issues related to global development. This multidisciplinary program operates in partnership with the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

  • Eligibility:
    • Completed an undergraduate degree (bachelors or foreign equivalent);
    • A strong quantitative background and interest in learning cutting-edge research methods;
    • A demonstrated interest in issues around global development and poverty alleviation; 
    • Creative and independent problem-solving skills;
    • An interest in pursuing a PhD in a field related to global development.

The goal of the ICANN Fellowship Program is to strengthen the diversity of the multistakeholder model by fostering opportunities for individuals from underserved and underrepresented communities to become active participants in the ICANN community.
